Undoubtedly, the Nigerian entertainment scene has advanced in leaps and bounds over the years with entertainers making a bountiful harvest from their craft. Indeed, the sector is thriving.

Interestingly, its just the second quarter of 2021, yet quite a number of entertainers have taken possession of houses already.

These popular personalities are following entertainers like Davido, Iyabo Ojo, Teni, Skiibii, Kiitan Bukola, Lax, Naira Marley, Emmanuela, etc who bought houses in 2020.

In this article, we put the spotlight on some Nigerian celebrities who this year became first time property owners and some who added a property to their real estate portfolio.

 

Don Jazzy

On February 26, music executive, Don Jazzy, shared news of him buying a new house at Pinnock Beach Estate in Lekki, Lagos state. The Instagram sensation also shared a video of the interior of his new home that include the living room, dining, study, artwork among others. Nigerian Celebrities

In December 2012, after his split with partner D’Banj, Don Jazzy, reportedly acquired a super-expensive duplex located at NICON estate, Lekki. The house reportedly cost him N160 million.

 

FireBoy DML

Singer and songwriter, Adedamola Adefolahan, professionally known as Fireboy DML on Thursday, March 11, 2021,  shared a photo of his new house on Instagram. He captioned the photo “beyond blessed”. The house is located in the Lekki axis of Lagos State.

Fireboy is currently signed to Olamide’s record label, YBNL Nation, and his recent Album, titled “Apollo”, was one of the most streamed album in 2020.

 

Bolanle Ninalowo

Actor Bolanle Ninalowo or Nino B as he is popularly called joined the ever-growing list of Nigerian celebrities who acquired new homes in 2021,

In mid-March, Nollywood actor added a new house to his portfolio.

The actor shared pictures of his new house which he bought at the Jericho area of Ibadan, Oyo State on Instagram.

 

Erica Nlewedim

Erica Nlewedim turned 27 on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

To mark the day, fans of the former housemate of the reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, gifted her a house in Lekki, Lagos.

The house is a 3-bedroom building with an attached boys quarters.

This came a few hours after another set of her fans presented her with stocks in some foreign companies. The reality TV star was gifted with stocks in Tesla, Amazon, United Airlines and Disney worth N4.7M.

Recall that Erica was disqualified during the course of the Lock-down edition of the reality show.

 

 

Bukola Adeeyo

In June, 32-year old Yoruba movie actress Bukola Adeeyo joined the league of entertainers who are house-owners.

This news was announced by controversial Instagram blogger, Gistlovers.

Although Bukola did not share the news on her social media page, friends of the actress took to their individual IG pages to celebrate with her.

 

Nengi

On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, former housemate of reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, Rebecca Nengi Hampson acquired a house.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Bayelsa State governor on ‘The Girl Child’ shared photos of the new property via her Twitter and Instagram pages.

 

 

Olakira

The music artiste, Adelusola Adefemi, better known as Olakira, acquired his first house alongside a new car earlier in the year.

In April, the 31-year-old “In My Maserati” crooner shared a photo of the house on Twitter. According to him, the house is his first.

The entertainer attributed the feat to “hard work” which he said has “finally paid off”.

 

Kizz Daniel

On 1st of May, Kizz Daniel announced the arrival of his twins- Jelani and Jalil.

Two weeks later, he announced on social media that he had purchased apartments for each of his twin babies.

The musician, who took to his Instagram page to share the news, also shared photos of the twins as well as documents of the houses signed in their names.

According to the documents, the new 2-bedroom luxury apartments were purchased on the 10th of June and are located at Woodland Estate, in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

 

Sir Balo

In May, popular social media sensation, Obotuke Timothy, better known as Sir Balo, announced that he had acquired a house.

The comedian took to his Instagram page to announce that he is now a landlord as he posted pictures of the new house.

Sir Balo also noted that the house is a new one.

 

Bimbo Afolayan

Yoruba Nollywood actress, Bimbo Afolayan is not a newbie in the business of acquiring real estates.

In early June 2021, news surfaced that the wife of celebrated director in the Yoruba sector, Okiki Afolayan, had opened an hotel in Ogun State.

In the video shared by the movie star, the parking space, bars and other places were visible while she hinted that the hotel is the first branch as bigger ones are on its way.

She resumed work as the Chief Executive Officer of the hotel, named Extreme Royal Hotels, on Wednesday, on June 2.

Recall that in late July 2020, Bimbo Afolayan gifted a fully furnished house to her parents as Sallah gift.

 

Kayode Wright

In June 14, fast-rising Yoruba actor Kayode Wright announced that he acquired a brand new car and a house.

The actor, scriptwriter, entrepreneur, movie producer took to his social media platform to share the news with his fans and colleagues.

Several of his colleagues and fans congratulated him on the acquisitions.

 

Zicsaloma

Instagram comedian and skit maker, Aloma Isaac, better known as Zicsaloma, is one of the celebrities that acquired a new house in 2021.

On Tuesday,22, June, the Abia-born comedian took to his Instagram story to announce the transition from being a tenant to a landlord.

The comedian is a graduate of English and Literary Studies from the Abia State University in Uturu.

 

Onyii Alex

Nigerian Celebrities

In mid-July, Nollywood actress, Onyii Alex showed off the interior of her tastefully furnished new home on Instagram.

The video showed adequate views of the rooms, bar area, kitchen, bathrooms and her walk in closet.

The 34 year old thespian made her Nollywood debut in the movie 3some alongside controversial actress, Tonto Dikeh.

 

Etinosa Idemudia

Nigerian Celebrities

Actress, skit-maker, social media influencer and film-maker, Etinosa Idemudia also acquired a house  this year. This adds to another house that she owns in Port Harcourt.

The Covenant University-trained Computer Engineer shared the news on her Instagram account on July 25.

Etinosa Idemudia is best known for her online comedy skits. She began producing and sharing them in 2013 on her social media channels.

 

DJ Kaywise

Nigerian Celebrities

In August, multi-talented and award-winning Disc Jockey, Ayorinde Kehinde Okiki popularly known as DJ Kaywise, announced his acquisition of a house in Lekki, Lagos state.

The record producer took to his Instagram page to flaunt the house. According to him, the house is his fifth house.

He wrote:

“Congratulations to Me ! House No5. Happy Birthday #Okiki #Thia #MummyKaywise #JoorNation.”

 

Ozo

Nigerian Celebrities

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Ozoemena Joseph Chukwu, known famously as Ozo, joined the growing list of reality TV stars who have become land-lords in Lagos.
