The Portuguese star’s eldest son entered Manchester United’s academy at the age of 11 and is following in his father’s footsteps.

The announcement comes only days after the boy was photographed training with his father during the Premier League’s recent winter break.

Cristiano Jnr was photographed wearing his father’s famous No.7 shirt, indicating that he intends to follow in his father’s footsteps as a five-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Cristiano Jnr is due to be brought to United’s Under-11s group, posing with fellow bright kid Gabriel, who already has a sponsorship deal with apparel giant Nike.

The club unveiled Cristiano’s son with Gabriel, another outstanding child who now has over 30,000 Instagram followers.

The Portugal international shared photographs of himself working with his youngster, who was dressed in a Manchester United training top, a few days ago.

The caption stated, “Present and future.”

Ronaldo was unsure in 2020 whether his 10-year-old kid could pursue a career in football due to his nutritional preferences.

“We’ll see if my son will become a great footballer, he’s not there yet,” Cristiano said at the Global Soccer Awards ceremony.

“Sometimes he drinks Coca-Cola and Fanta and eats crisps, and he knows I don’t like it.

“Sometimes I tell my son to take a dip in cold water to recover after a run on the treadmill and he says ‘Dad, it’s so cold there’. It’s normal, he’s 10 years old.”
