Where Is Nollywood Actor Charles Okafor?
In the late 90s and early 2000s, actor Charles Okafor featured in just about any hit Nollywood movie.
The veteran actor, producer, director, entrepreneur and a television personality entertained us through his great script interpretations.
At the time, he graced our TV screens together with other hunks like Saint Obi, Zack Orji, and Richard Mofe Damijo.
Then suddenly, the Umuleri, Anambra-state-born thespian disappeared from the scene.
This has left his teeming and adoring fans wondering where this highly celebrated actor has been all these years.
Indeed, where has Charles Okafor been all these years?
In late 2013, Charles Okafor made a revelation that he is now a Born-again Christian and that he has been doing the work of Christ behind the scene.
The 51-years old veteran actor is now an ordained pastor preaching the word of God and winning souls for Christ.

However, he emphasized that he is still a career actor and film-maker and only accepts scripts that glorifies his faith.
In 2017, Okafor made a comeback in Nollywood with the biopic Idahosa Trails a drama film written, produced and directed by Stanlee Ohikhuare.
Charles Okafor has starred in more than 300 movies both in Nigerian and abroad.
Some of the movies he stared in his active days in Nollywood include: The Senator, End of the Wicked, The Last Quest For Wealth, Domitilla, Conspiracy, Blood Billionaires, Executive Connection, World of Riches, Tomorrow Lives Again, Super Hero, Abuja Boys, King of the Forest, Price of the Wicked, Forest of Promises, Billionaires Club, MISPLACED, to mention but just a few.
In 2005, Charles Okafor’s role in the Nollywood blockbuster movie “Billionaires Club” won him the award for “Best Actor in a Supporting Role” at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and “Most Promising Actor in Nigeria” at the Best of Nollywood Awards.
During his time away from the screen, Charles Okafor has been the brand ambassador for numerous institutions and brands.
Charles Okafor has received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards as the Best Male Actor in Nigeria and Best Lead Actor in Nigeria.
In 2011, Charles Okafor was honoured by the Nigerian Federal Government as a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) which happens to be the highest honour and an award given to a celebrity in Nigeria who has contributed immensely to the economic growth and development of the country through entertainment.
