Billionaire Business Magnate, Captain Hosa Okunbo Dies At 63

Edo-born business magnate, Captain Idahosa Wells Okunbo, is dead. The renowned philanthropist died after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. Okubo was diagnosed with cancer last September.

Okunbo, a professional pilot and philanthropist, died last night (Saturday) 12 months after doctors said he had nine months to live. He was aged 63.

Late Okunbo, who moved to London a year ago for treatment, is survived by widow, Nosa, and children.

He served as either chairman or director on numerous company boards in Nigeria, spanning multiple business sectors such as the agro-allied, petroleum, telecommunications, power, real estate and banking industries.

Okunbo was married with 11 children.
