The couple first met at a motor park in 1976. They courted for six years before tying the knot. They married on August 21, 1982.
Oyedepo married Florence Abiola Akano, but she changed her name to Faith Abiola Oyedepo later in life. They are the parents of four children (David Jr, Isaac, Love and Joyce).

Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, was founded by Oyedepo. He is the Presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle, a megachurch with a capacity of 50,000 people in Ota, Ogun State.
The Winners’ Chapel church network spans over 300 cities in all 50 states of Nigeria, as well as several cities in over 45 African countries, Dubai, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
