Family, friends, and dignitaries gathered in Lagos and Benin City to bid a heartfelt farewell to Deaconess Felicia Omorokunwa Sule, whose remains were laid to rest after days of emotional tributes and celebration of life. The 78-year-old matriarch, Deaconess Felicia Omorokunwa Sule, passed away on April 9, 2025, just six days shy of her birthday. She was fondly remembered as a devoted Christian, an accomplished teacher, a nurturing mother, and the unifying force in her family. Her funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29, in Lagos, followed by a grand reception on August 2, at Rose Hall Gardens, GRA, Benin City, Edo State. Attendees came from across Nigeria and abroad. “She lived a life of truth, love, and strength,” said her son, Osayimwen. “She kept our family together with grace and wisdom. Deaconess Sule is survived by her children, Edith, Kizito, Osayimwen, Iyekeretin, and Omozogie, as well as several grandchildren, in-laws, and a host of extended family members.
