Sulaiman Aledeh: What You Should Know About The New MD Of Edo Broadcasting Service
Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS) has announced the appointment of Sulaiman Aledeh as its substantive Managing Director. With over two decades of distinguished experience in broadcast journalism, Aledeh brings an impressive resume that includes contributions to leading international media outlets such as Al Jazeera, SABC, and GB News UK.
A graduate of Philosophy from the University of Benin (1999), Aledeh’s media journey began at EBS, where he worked as a student.

His passion for journalism was evident early on, as he gained national recognition during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) stint at Ebonyi Radio, becoming the first corps member allowed to read the station’s major news bulletin. He further honed his skills at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, where his innovative shows left a lasting impact.
Aledeh’s career transitioned to national television with prominent roles at TVC and Channels Television, where he anchored flagship news programs. He was instrumental in producing groundbreaking content, including the 2011 and 2015 Nigerian general elections coverage, and launched innovative shows like Politics HQ and Village Square Africa at News Central. His voice and presence have been a cornerstone of Nigerian broadcasting, shaping narratives and delivering impactful content.
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo
Beyond journalism, Aledeh demonstrated exceptional leadership as Assistant General Manager and Head of Media and Communications at Eko Disco, where he spearheaded strategic communication initiatives. A Fellow of the Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management and an Associate of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, his expertise extends into public relations and diplomacy.
Aledeh’s academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Humanitarian and Refugee Studies from the University of Lagos. He has served as a Special Correspondent and News Anchor for Arise News in London and Lagos and is the Founder of Aledeh Media Network, publishers of gatekeepersnews.com.
