These high-rise building are some of the most recognizable landmarks across the countries. They represent the tallest pieces of architecture across the country. These skyscrapers are often monuments or symbols of wealth and power; but essentially, they are simply tools to provide more space by putting people above the noise and traffic on the city’s streets below. One of the earliest high-rise buildings in Nigeria is the Independence House, a 25-storey office building,  located west of Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan Lagos. The project was commissioned by the British government as a testimonial to and as a good will support to Nigeria’s independence in 1960. Ever since then, countless skyscrapers have been developed and adorn the skylines across the cities in the nation. Join us in this article as we highlight the 35 tallest buildings (from the least to the tallest) built across the country. Note, this list ranks Nigerian buildings that stand at least 60 m (197 ft) tall, based on standard height measurement. This includes spires and architectural details but does not include antenna masts.
