While the history of food business may be relatively straightforward to study, its future certainly is not.

It is for this reason that food entrepreneurs and the eating establishments are seeking for ways to understand the future of food business in order to innovate and to make profit.

And then comes Launch And Learn Food Business Academy (LLFBA).

The Launch And Learn Food Business Academy (LLFBA) started out as a burning desire in the heart of its chief facilitator, Nneka Tomilola-Adesanya. That desire metamorphosed into “Launch and Learn with Nneka Tomilola-Adesanya”, a project designed to impart knowledge about the food business to food business owners.  All these happened after Tomilola-Adesanya had received excessive requests from different individuals on how to be trained in preparing Nigerian cuisines.

It was these inquiries that inspired the hosting of a 3-week food business coaching course in June 2021.

During the training, participants at the academy were taught the dynamics of contemporary food business.

Attendees were also groomed on how to develop the critical skill to determine food cost in order to remain profitable.

The pioneer set – tagged, the “Doers” – graduated in June 2021 after the intensive coaching session. They left with quite some testimonies of their experiences at LLFBA.

Elizabeth Ebere Odimuko, the CEO of Ebystastees, was the valedictorian of the pioneering set. According to her, the experience at Launch and Learn opened her eyes to many things in the food business.

She said, “The coaching I received gave me a base. I learnt so many things I didn’t know before. It was a turning point for me.

“One of the things I gained from attending the Launch and Learn programme is increase in sales. Also, my customer relations skill has improved, l now know how to relate with customers better”, Odimuko added.

According to Nneka Tomi-Adesanya, “LLFBA was birthed with a vision to raise well-rounded, kingdom-minded entrepreneurs who desire to elevate their food business knowledge and to equip them with the required information to grow their Food businesses and explore New markets.

“Your food business wasn’t designed to sell only food amongst other services but to make lasting impact and leave a legacy of eternal value”, she added.

“We are beyond excited to have seen a personal project grow to become a visionary Food business Academy that we see.

“We are the First Food business Academy in Nigeria to teach you to apply Biblical principles in order to build a Kingdom enterprise”, Tomi-Adesanya wrote in an Instagram post.

A new academic session at LLFBA will commence later this month, as registration is on going.

The coaching session will span three weeks. It will incorporate four practical Cooking classes and 20 hours of online tutorials. Kick off date is August 14.

The sophomore edition has an exciting line up of seasoned professionals as facilitators. They include, Uduak Odungide (founder, Udy Foods); Sotonye Ehimiaghe (Founder, Customer Service Hub; Bolaji Daniel Adeniyi (CEO, Gidicakes confectioneries Ltd); Tomilola Adesanya(Creative Director & Partner, Pundit Agency); etc.
