The president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu is currently married to Oluremi Tinubu, a former senator. They got married in in 1987.
Oluremi is the only known wife of the President, despite rumours that she is his second wife.
His previous relationships or the identities of the mothers of some of his children are one of the President’s best kept secret.
Due to the President’s refusal to publicly acknowledge the existence of an ex-wife, little is known about Tinubu’s prior relationships.
However, what we do know is that he is the father of six children.

Olajide Tinubu
Jide Tinubu was born on October 12, 1974. He is the first child and first son of Bola Tinubu from an earlier relationship.
Jide graduated from the University of Liverpool, England where he studied law. He proceeded to the University of London, England to acquire a Master’s in Maritime Law and was called to the bar in Nigeria in 1999.
He practiced as a lawyer at Mobil where he worked for a year, from 2000 to 2001, following which he worked with other oil firms like Ocean and Oil Services Ltd and Cargo Maritime, Paris, France.
He spent the majority of his lifetime in London, where he lived with his wife whom he shared three children with.
Sadly, he died of cardiac arrest in London on October 31, 2017 at the age of 43.
Barely one year after Jide’s demise, a strange news headline surfaced, with the caption: “The National Leader of APC, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Loses Ex-wife”.
Further digging revealed her to be the mother of Jide Tinubu. She was a resident of Abraham Adesanya Estate, Ajah, Lagos until her demise.
Folashade Tinubu-Ojo
Folashade Tinubu-Ojo is the second child and first daughter of Bola Tinubu. It is speculated that she shares the same mother as her late older sibling, Jide Tinubu.
She was born on 17 June, 1976, and attended Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo where she studied Home Economics.
Folashade has a degree in Business administration from Middlesex University, London. She also has an MBA obtained at Intercontinental University in the United States.
In 2013, Folashade replaced her grandmother as the the Iyaloja General of Lagos State – the highest-ranking market leader in the state. This position gives her power over all traders in Lagos markets which includes colleting levies from them.
Folashade Tinubu-Ojo is currently married to former House of Reps member, Oyetunde Ojo. As of May 2022, the couple has two children together, born via surrogacy.
Seyi Tinubu
Oluwaseyi Tinubu is the second son, but the oldest surviving son, of Bola Tinubu. He was born on 13 October 1985.
His mother is Bunmi Oshonaike – a former airhostess and prohetess at the Celestial Church of Christ.
In 2010, Seyi Tinubu graduated from the University Of Buckingham where he bagged a degree in Law. He also has a Masters in Corporate And Commercial Law from the same University. He was called to bar in November 2013.
Aside from being a lawyer, Seyi is an entrepreneur and the CEO of Loatsad Promomedia LTD, an advertising agency – and Loatsad Global Services LTD.
In August 2016, Seyi Tinubu married Nigerian-Lebanese entrepreneur Layal Holm at an extravagant wedding ceremony at Lake Como, Italy. Currently, the couple have two children.
Seyi is often a subject of controversies. For instance, he allegedly has another child from an extra-marital affair with Freda Francis, a Nigerian socialite and businesswoman who is also known to be an ex-girlfriend of music artist Iyanya.
In 2023, Seyi was linked to the purchase of a London mansion that was under fraud investigation by the federal government.
Seyi reportedly bought the house in 2017 for $10.8m through his firm.
Zainab Abisola Tinubu
Zainab Abisola Tinubu is the fourth child of Bola Tinubu but the first child with his wife, Remi Tinubu.
Born on the 26th September 1989, Zainab, who is mostly resident in the US, is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts.
According to a SaharaReporter report, in 2014, shortly after graduation, at age 25, Zainab and her sister, Habibat, acquired properties in the US worth millions of Dollars. She reportedly acquired a deluxe condo for $2,150,000. Payment was reportedly made in cash.
Beyond these, not much information about her is available about Zainab Abisola Tinubu.
Habibat Oyinda Tinubu
Habibat is the youngest daughter of the former Lagos State governor.
On May 11, 2013, she graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, with a degree in music. Berklee has been described as the world’s foremost institute for the study of jazz and modern American music.
In 2014, she reportedly acquired a deluxe apartment in the US for $2,400,000. Full and upfront cash payments was made and there was no mortgage.
Habibat is a model, singer, music video vixen and an LGBTQ+ activists.
Olayinka Tinubu
Olayinka Tinubu is Bola Tinubu’s last child and third child from Oluremi Tinubu.
The youngest of Bola Tinubu’s children receives significant protection and remains out of the media’s reach.
