American rapper and producer, Dr. Dre, has agreed to pay his ex-wife Nicole Young $100 million — $50 million now and the rest in a year.

According to reports, the iconic producer and Nicole Young also reached an agreement to split their assets.

These are coming after 18 months of legal disputes.

Dre’s ex-wife is entitled to half of his properties, however, she signed a prenup contract that ensured that she got far less.

Dre is currently worth $820million.

In the settlement, the rapper will keep six vehicles and seven of the properties they own after paying the agreed-upon settlement. The properties include a Malibu home, two Calabasas homes, and four properties in the Los Angeles area, including the $100 million Brentwood estate.

Dre also won the right to keep his master recordings and trademarks. He will also retain all Apple stocks, which includes proceeds from his sale of Beats by Dre, which was bought by Apple in 2014 for $3billion.

Nicole, on the other hand, gets to keep the jewelry, cash, and bank accounts she held throughout the marriage, as well as certain other assets.

After the settlement, Nicole would no longer be eligible for spousal support, which she had fought for vehemently during her divorce. She reportedly was seeking $2million a month.

Over the weekend, Dr. Dre – together with his protégés – put up an electrifying performance at this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show.

According to court documents in July 2021, a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge ordered the rapper to pay Nicole $293,306 per month until a final decision on the settlement was made.

After 26 years of marriage, she and Dr. Dre split in 2020. Nicole blamed her breakup on irreconcilable differences with the hip-hop entrepreneur.

Dre and Nicole Young got married in 1996, they have two children together, Triuce and Truly.
