Remains Of Sam Gbajumo Laid To Rest (PHOTOS)

The remains of the late Barrister Samuel Osabbuohien Gbajumo was on Friday committed to mother earth.

Sam Gbajumo, a US-based businessman, died in New York, at the age of 53.

Gbajumo was laid to rest at his Benin-City GRA residence last Friday. The internment was preceded by a Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Cathedral, Benin City. The ceremony was attended by the friends, relatives and associates from within and outside the country.

The late Sam Gbajumo, until his demise, was the President of Diamond Security Services – a private security service firm based in New York, United States.

During the funeral ceremony, there was a general consensus that the later Gbajumo was an administrator who led an exemplary life.

Late Sam Gbajumo is survived by an aged mother, siblings, wife and four children.

About Samuel Osabuohien Gbajumo Jr.

Barrister Samuel Osabuohien Gbajumo Jr. was born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria on June 15, 1970.

He was the fifth child and first son of late Mr. Samuel Adejumo Gbajumo JP.

His early schooling was received at Emotan Nursery and Primary School in Benin City, Edo State.

Sam later attended Edo College in Benin City for his secondary education. After earning his West African School Certificate in 1987, he pursued his Higher School Certificate (HSC), also at Edo College.

Sam afterwards got admitted into the University of Benin (UNIBEN) where he earned a bachelor’s degree in law. Upon graduation, he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School where he was called to the Nigerian bar.

He performed exceptionally well in school and won several awards. He had previously held the positions of Secretary General of the Law Students Association (LAWSA), Uniben, and President of a prominet social club, Klova Klub.

In the late 90s, Sam left Nigeria with his wife for the United States. In the US, he founded his private firm, Diamond Security Services. He remained the president of the company until his untimely demise at age 53.

Sam was a lover of sports, especially football. He was a dedicated fan of Bendel Insurance and Manchester United Football Club.

Samuel Osabuohien Gbajumo Jr. will be sorely missed as he positively influenced the lives of all he came across and will be fondly remembered for his  gentle demeanor, generosity and kindness.
